Home Works by Kelly is a full-service remodeling company that puts the emphasis on project management. We provide guidance, planning, and management for a successful remodel, no matter how big or small the job.

Kelly believes each remodeling project needs its own custom path. After working for a design/ build firm for several years, she noticed that construction was more on the side of the company then the homeowner, jobs were estimated and then ran time and materials so the chance that it would be over budget and an extended schedule was pretty high. Clients often felt they had to just jump in and with fingers crossed hope that the project would go well in the end. By hiring HomeWorks as your advocate, you will always be in the know without having to manage your project. You will be educated along the way, able to bring in your own designer/architect if you wish or Kelly can introduce you to one on her team. HomeWorks will look out for you, your budget, and your schedule from design to completion.

What is Kelly's "New Approach"?

Free Consultation

During your free consultation with Kelly, you will discuss the scope, availability, and available budget for your project, and then compare it to the costs and time frame necessary to complete it. If you have your own designer in mind, or a team member you would like Kelly to manage, this would be a great time to discuss it.

Design Phase

During this phase, you will consult with your designer (or the one provided by Home Works) and work together to create your new space. The designer will produce a concept design and material specs for the project.

Scope & Budget

Kelly will draft an initial budget contract with HomeWorks. We will schedule a site visit with all subcontractors to obtain a to not exceed bid, based on the plans, scope of work, and materials. Following the visit, a final budget and scope will be established. Adjustments to the design and scope during the project may be needed to keep expenses within budget.

Pre-Construction

You will enter into a construction contract. Kelly will create a production schedule, create a detailed job book, and order materials and ensure they will be on-site when needed. All subcontractors will be notified in advance when they need to be on-site to perform their tasks. At the end of this step, Kelly will establish a start date for your project.

Construction

You will receive an invitation to Kelly’s Project Management Website, to keep track of communications and progress. After a meeting to establish house rules and expectations, HomeWorks will be busy keeping communication flowing between designer and subcontractor at all times, solve any issues that arise, and create a punch list with your input, toward the end of the project. HomeWorks will finalize the project after a final clean and quality control.

Completion

Your new space is turned over and move-in ready.
